Last Saturday and Sunday, the school’s (probably) biggest festival Waseda-sai was held. I was such a big AHO (japanese for ‘idiot’) like I brought my camera, fully charged, but I forgot my MEMORY STICK. T___T Luckily, my dear kind friend lent me her memory stick to take photos and upload them and stuff. phew. =P
The atmosphere was awesome, and these pictures below would prolly give you a very good idea =P
The school was totally transformed on that day.
Even the gate entrances were painted and stuff.
The start of the crowd-squeezing madness >.<
Next comes the crossdressers and interesting costumes along the way. In Japan, anything is possible. =P
… and these two fellas are boys.
I wonder if this is out from an anime or something…
Up next, the stalls (i only got 2 of them though. =x)
The “singing yakisoba” stall. Basically the cooks were singing while cooking yakisoba. And I mean all day long.
And.. the performances!
This was supposed to be a karaoke contest, I don’t know how they ended up baring their chests. O.o
Acapella! My friend’s init! xD They were sooo good!
Korean dance performance. My friend’s init too. =P
… and not to forget, our favourite yosakoi. lol.
So the festival was really, really fun. But one of the stuff I’ve noticed that the floor is still sooo clean even in a crowded festival. Here’s why:
“Eco stations” are there with volunteers to help sort out the litter for you. From rubber bands, to plastic boxes, to chopsticks and leftover food.
Sasuga, Japan! =o

Holy cow this looks AMAZING.
I really, really want to attend Waseda.
It looks like it is a LOT of fun!!! ^_^
